Isiah Thomas is an idiot...

Why do owners keep giving this guy control of their teams? He ruined a whole league (the CBA went bankrupt while he was the commish). He wasn't a good coach at Indiana. As GM of the Knicks he has brought in a bunch of overpriced gunners (Marbury,Francis) who don't know how to play team ball. Pays Larry Brown a ton to come and coach them, then when Brown starts losing and wants new players Thomas fires him and takes over as coach. I will say this,if Isiah can win with this bunch of players he is the best coach in the NBA. By far. Oh,did you see who he drafted? Why would you waste a #1 pick on a undersized forward from S. Carolina who didn't even average double figures? The only bright spot for me is that I hate the Knicks anyway so I am loving this.

Why can't NBA players shoot free throws??

These guys kill me! They get paid millions of dollors to play a game and they can't take it serious enough to work on their games during the off season. How much money does Shaq get paid per season? And he can't hit half of his free throws? Shaq, you got a gym IN your house, go in there during the summer and shoot about a 1000 a day. It is all about repitition. Get you a ritual that you will use everytime you go to the line. Take the ball dribble 3 times, take a deep breath, bend your knees, come up in a smooth motion with a good release and rotation on the ball. Do the exact same thing everytime. If you do that 1000 times a day for a whole summer there is no way you won't at least shoot 75% from the line. There will be no more Hack-a-Shaq at the end of games. It got so bad this season Coach Riley would take you out at the end of close games because he knew you would brick your FT's. Remember the old days of Magic and Bird and even Jordan? Every off season they would take the weakest part of their game and work on it until it became one of their strengths. Magic had problems with FT's also but he realized that being a point guard and having the ball in his hands most of the time that he would get fouled a lot. He worked on it until the opposing team would try to foul anyone but him. When Jordan first came into the league he couldn't hit an outside shot. All his points came on drives to the basket. But after a while teams started playing off him so he couldn't drive and he was forced to make outside shots. He couldn't do it consistantly so he had to work on that part of his game during the off season. He came back the next season and as we all know became unstopable. All I ask is put a little time into it. It would be different if you had shown any improvement in your career but it seems that you have gotten worse. I shouldn't be only talking about Shaq there are more. Tim Duncan, Ben Wallace there are many more. Listen, they are called FREE-throws for a reason. Nobody is guarding you, your a professional. Make your free throws!!!!

Steroids and HGH in sports.

What happened to the good ole days when "country strong" men were the only people with home run power? Anyone who has watched the sport of baseball for the last 10 years can tell the difference in the power of all the hitters. And now it has come out that the pitchers are doing drugs also. You can't really blame them, they are just trying to keep up. I read Jose Canseco's book "Juiced",he isn't some great writer but he told the truth in my opinion. Barry Bonds was a HOF player before he started using but he was jealous of McGwire and Sosa getting all the headlines with their home run chase. So he had to do something to get his name on top. Bonds is a jerk and always has been but he was a great player before all of this. It is hard to believe he would risk tarnishing his image even more just to get more homers. He may end up breaking Hank's record but is anybody going to care since it is clear he cheated to do it? What kind of example is he setting for the kids who have looked up to him? I wish he would retire and go away kind of like how McGwire and Sosa have. Nobody has seen Mark since the hearing when he didn't want to talk about anything. Sosa tried to play a few more seasons but his power was completely gone. They were using something! You got to give one guy credit and he is Jason Giambi. He got caught and admitted it. But he worked his tail off and has shown the last year that he didn't really need the juice after all. He has always seemed like a nice guy and I think he just got caught up with McGwire and Canseco when he was a youngster with the A's. You know youngsters can be led down the wrong path by their hero's. Kind of like Bonds is doing with americas youth right now.

What is up with this FIFA World Cup Soccer??

I understand that soccer is a popular sport around the world. But this is the USA,where football, basketball and baseball rule. ESPN is shoving this sport down our throats and there is nothing we can do about it. I even saw a Gatorade commercial that had "Take me out to the ballgame" music playing in an ad for soccer. Somebody should get fired for that! Have you ever heard The Rick and Bubba Show on radio stations all over the southeast? They nail it when they talk about this subject. They like it about as much as I do. It seems that soccer is just to boring for people in the USA to get behind. You watch for hours and might see 1-2 goals the whole game? Not much entertainment value there. I admit that you have to be in great shape to play soccer with all the running that is required but you may as well run track. At least then you would be running for a reason (trying to win a race). If you like soccer that's great but ESPN and Gatorade should know more about what the US sports fans want. That's just my opinion.
